In June of 2019, Brigadier General Creighton W. Abrams, Jr. (USA-Ret.) will retire from his role as Executive Director of the Army Historical Foundation— the organization spearheading the campaign to build the National Museum of the United States Army— after over nineteen years of dedication to preserving Army history for future generations.
The son of the late General Creighton Abrams, who was the U.S. commander in Vietnam and later Army Chief of Staff, Abrams served in the Army for thirty-one years including deployments to Korea, Vietnam, Germany, Southwest Asia, and Italy.
Abrams’ dedication to the Army and its history through his work at the Army Historical Foundation and the future National Museum of the U.S. Army, which is set to open at Fort Belvoir, VA in 2020, has been unwavering throughout his esteemed career.
